NAACLS is exploring how to better collect, analyze, and use program data to support educational programs, advocacy, and workforce analysis. The NAACLS Data Governance Task Force has developed this survey to understand how current data is being used and what additional insights would be most valuable to programs and external stakeholders. The National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) accredits over 600 programs across 13 disciplines in the U.S. and internationally. Each year, NAACLS- accredited programs self-report data through a required Annual Survey of Programs, and summary findings are shared each fall in the NAACLS News. We encourage you to review the most recent CEO Corner articles, “Findings from the latest Annual Survey of Programs", prior to completing this survey.While NAACLS collects a significant amount of data, not all of it is currently analyzed or shared in ways that provide maximum value. At the same time, it is unclear what additional data, or deeper analysis of existing data, would be most useful. To make the best use of available resources, we need to better understand your priorities. This survey is designed to identify:
- which existing data elements should be expanded or analyzed further
- what new data, if any, would be most valuable
- how NAACLS can deliver insights that are meaningful and actionable
Your responses will directly guide future NAACLS data collection, analysis, and reporting, helping ensure that effort is focused on what matters most to you.
