Introduction: The Southwest Indian Women's Coalition or SWIWC is a statewide Tribal domestic and sexual coalition that has been serving the Tribes in Arizona since 2006. SWIWC's primary purpose is to help Tribes increase their capacity to better address and respond to violence occurring in their respective communities. SWIWC's Two-Spirit/LGBTQ+ Advisory Council was created in 2015 to guide and provide leadership in developing effective and culturally sensitive responses for survivors of domestic and sexual violence in Tribal communities.
Purpose of This Survey: Through a grant from the NOVO Foundation, SWIWC and Two-Spirit/LGBTQ+ Advisory Council will be organizing as a non-profit to address the needs for advocacy, resources, violence prevention, and healing in the Two-Spirit/Native LGBTQ+ and broader communities. The information gathered from this survey will inform and identify priority areas, services, resources, and gaps in knowledge or awareness within the community.
Data from this survey will be confidential and intended only for the purpose of the organization.
