Introduction
The Riverside Sport and Recreation Precinct is owned by Moonee Valley City Council. Council awarded the contract for the management, operation and capital investment into the Riverside Golf and Sports Centre (RGSC) to BlueFit in September 2023.
The proposed concept plan and investment into the site from BlueFit includes the delivery of:
- An improved driving range with upgraded facilities including safety fencing
- Refurbished clubhouse and outdoor dining facilities
- New pro-shop, with the current pro-shop converted into a flexible community space
- New accessible pedestrian pathways for all visitors access
- New nature playground for all ages
- New mini golf course
- A larger putting green with more space for practice
- New pickle ball courts
- Updated landscaping to improve the look and usability of the site
The upgrade will modernise the facility by improving golf and recreation areas, making the site more accessible, creating new spaces for families and visitors, and enhancing the overall appearance and visitor experience.
