Laurel Photovoice Drawing Submission - Elementary Age Students

Instructions

Because we want to hear from our youngest community members as well, we are offering elementary-aged students the opportunity to participate through drawings.

The drawings submitted will be reported in the assessment anonymously and will not be identified as belonging to a specific student, teacher, or school.
The prompt statements for our youth photovoice project are the following:

Draw a picture of something in your community that helps people be healthy and feel good.
Draw a picture of something in your community that can make it harder for people to be healthy.

The student may draw something already found in our community or something that they think our community needs to help us be healthy or something that would make it hard to be healthy if it was in our community.
We encourage teachers or parents to follow up with a discussion on what the drawing means to the student and include a statement from the student about their drawing.

Not comfortable submitting your child/students drawings electronically? You can drop the drawings off at Laurel County Health Department OR contact Christi Beaver (christin.beaver@ky.gov) at Laurel County Health Department (606-864-5187) to schedule a time for us to pick up the drawings from your school.
