Mascot Handler Application

Monty the Raptor Mascot Handlers are essential members of the MC mascot team. Handlers accompany Monty during appearances, support performer safety, help manage logistics and crowd interactions, communicate with event organizers, and help ensure every appearance reflects Montgomery College with energy and professionalism.

What Happens Next

Applications will be reviewed. Selected candidates will be invited to a practical audition focused on communication, situational awareness, crowd interaction, teamwork, problem-solving, and responding to the Mascot Performer's nonverbal cues.

Training and orientation must be completed before a Handler's first appearance. Mascot appearances are scheduled on an as-needed basis, and assignments may vary in length depending on the event.
