Hyde Park City Active Transportation & Parks

This survey is part of Hyde Park's ongoing Active Transportation and Parks Plan. Your feedback will help city staff and elected officials prioritize investments in parks, trails, and safe walking and bicycling routes across this city. There are two sections to this survey, Parks, and Active Transportation. This survey should take about 6 minutes to complete and no questions are mandatory.
1. Which of the following apply to you?
2. What is your age?
Hyde Park City Parks
Hyde Park City manages five parks; Lions Park, Lee Park, Legacy Park, City Hall Park, and Hyde Park Canyon (by the new water tank).

In 2025, a community parks and trails survey received high-level feedback about Hyde Park City's parks. The following questions build off of that feedback to identify specific improvements and investments desired by the community to form the foundation of the City's Active Transportation & Parks Master Plan.
Legacy Park
3. What improvements to Legacy Park would you be most excited about? Select up to 3.
4. This plan may explore alternative uses for the dirt jump area behind Legacy Park.  Which of the following would you like to see explored for this part of the park? Select up to 3.

14. How often do you walk or bike in Hyde Park to get to work, school, or just for fun?
18. The Utah Trail Network (UTN) is a state initiative and funding mechanism to create multi-use pathways to connect the entire state. The Wolfpack Way trail that is currently being built is an identified UTN corridor, and 1000 East has been identified as a potential future trail corridor; how supportive are you of developing a multi-use pathway along 1000 East?
19. Which active transportation improvement is most important to you? Select 1.
20. We heard in the 2025 Parks and Trails survey that securing easements to formalize the canal trails is a high community priority. Do you live or own property along one of the canals and are interested in learning more about what a recreational trail easement would look like on your property?
