Mascot Performer Application

Monty the Raptor mascot performers represent Montgomery College at athletic events, College celebrations, community appearances, photo opportunities, social media content, and other approved activities. Performers bring Monty to life through movement, personality, and nonverbal interaction while representing MC with enthusiasm and professionalism.

A trained Mascot Handler accompanies Monty during appearances to help guide interactions, monitor surroundings, and support performer safety.

What Happens Next

Selected candidates will be invited to an in-costume audition focused on creativity, movement, spatial awareness, nonverbal communication, and personality. Training and orientation must be completed before a performer's first appearance.

Mascot appearances are scheduled on an as-needed basis. Typical assignments may be 2-4 hours in length, with scheduled costume breaks during the appearance.
