Community Review of Draft Priorities & Goals

The City of Las Cruces is developing a new Strategic Plan to guide City priorities, decisions, and investments over the next two to five years.

Over the past several months, the City has heard from residents, community and business leaders, young people, City staff, and the City Council about the opportunities and challenges facing Las Cruces and what the City should focus on in the years ahead. That input, along with research on current community conditions and existing City plans, has helped shape the draft mission, strategic priorities, and goals below.

Now, we want to know what you think.

As you review the draft, you can highlight any word, phrase, priority, or goal and leave a comment. We are especially interested in hearing:

• Is anything unclear or difficult to understand?
• Is there anything you think should be changed or better explained?
• Is anything important missing?

This is still a draft. Your feedback will be reviewed alongside input gathered throughout the strategic planning process and will help the City refine the mission, priorities, and goals.

Once that direction is established, the next step will be to develop the more detailed actions, timelines, responsibilities, and measures needed to put the plan into practice. That implementation work will be developed by City staff and shaped by the priorities and community input gathered through this process and will be included in the full Strategic Plan.
