WFUNA hosts a 3 month program which includes a week-long program at the UN Headquarters for Korean college leaders around the world. The selected candidates will be given the opportunity to experience the world of multilateralism by analyzing a given topic discussed among UN member states. The program is designed to give youth leaders a global mindset, while empowering them with practical skills necessary to succeed in the global arena.
The program is intended to give future leaders the opportunity to broaden their professional knowledge and experience by acquainting themselves with advanced methods and techniques. The selected group is provided with training on their specific tasks, and given the chance to issue a joint public statement to encourage youth to participate in the works of the UN.
PLEASE READ BEFORE FILING APPLICATION:
All applicants must be a Republic of Korea passport holder, and enrolled in an accredited university during the year 2026.
The program will be held from November 7th, 2026 to January 29th, 2027, including the training at the New York UN Headquarters in Manhattan, NY from January 25th to January 29th, 2027. Upon admission to the program, the student must complete the payment of 2,700,000 KRW total (2,200,000 KRW training fee including hotel accommodation and 500,000 KRW administration fee) to finalize their registration. The training fee and administrative fee does not cover: airfare, transportation, insurance, weekend meals, weekdays dinner, and other personal expenses.
** You may inquire with your university for student fellowships or grants for participating in summer vocational training / internship programs. A number of past participants were able to secure financial support for their participation in WFUNA's College Leaders Program.
The schedule of the program this year is as follows:
- Training & Team Project Sessions in Korea(On/Offline Hybrid): November 7th, November 21st, November 28th from 10:00AM to 1:00PM (KST), 2026
- New York Training: January 25th to January 29th, 2027
