2027 Scholarship Application

I wish to apply for a 2027 UFCW Local 881 Charitable Foundation Scholarship Award. I understand that the decision of the Scholarship Selection Committee is final and I agree to abide by that decision. I also agree to all terms and conditions of the UFCW Local 881 Charitable Foundation Scholarship as presented in the Rules, Regulations, and Application Procedures document.

DEADLINE: Applications must be sent in by March 1, 2027 by 5pm CST.

To qualify for the scholarship:

•  Must be a member or child of a member in good standing with Local 881 UFCW in accordance with the provisions of Local 881 and UFCW By-laws. This means that the member must have been in continuous good standing with all dues fully paid for one year, with membership commencing on or before April 30, 2026.
• Applicants must be attending full-time, or accepted to attend full-time, an accredited college, university, community college, or recognized trade school at the time the award is presented.  

All applicants must meet the outlined criteria listed in order to submit and be considered for the scholarship. 

All applications must include the following:

• Completed application form
• Written essay (topic described below)
• Applicant’s complete official high school* and college (if applicable) transcripts; be sure GPA is included along with an explanation of how it is calculated (example: if your GPA is listed as 3.0, please document whether it is based on 4.0 or 5.0 scale)

*If applicant graduated from high school prior to 2022, a copy of his or her diploma can be submitted if transcripts are unavailable.

Failure to complete any part of the application will remove it from consideration.
