For CPA members wishing to be included in the list of qualified valuers on the Pilot Patent Valuation Support Scheme (administered by the Intellectual Property Department ("IPD"))

1. Please note:
A "qualified valuer" under the Pilot Patent Valuation Support Scheme (the "Scheme") is a valuer who is a fellow or member of any of the following professional bodies or institutions throughout the provision of valuation services to an approved entity -
- The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants;
- CFA Society Hong Kong;
- The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors; or
- Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

who has at least one year's experience in conducting valuation of IP/intangible assets or business interests. This requirement only applies to the Scheme and should not be treated as a general requirement for valuers to conduct valuation in other circumstances.

Completion of this survey is intended solely to provide approved entities with additional information about members who indicate that they offer valuation services involving IP/intangible assets or business interests. If you are included on the list, on the basis of the information that you have provided, this does not constitute any certification, endorsement, approval, or quality assurance, nor does it confer any accreditation or recognition, or confirmation of your eligibility to be a qualified valuer under the Scheme, as defined above, by the Institute. Any valuation conducted under the Scheme must be carried out in accordance with the requirements set out in the Guidelines for Quantitative IP Valuation Reports, to be published by the IPD in due course. *This question is required.
