Linda Mar Health Impacts Survey

1.

The Linda Mar Water Quality Coalition is a grassroots alliance of Surfrider San Mateo County's Blue Water Task Force, Salted Roots, the San Pedro Creek Watershed Coalition, Cultivar Foundation, and Pedro Point Surf Club.  Over the past two years our testing has found:
  • 85% of samples along the San Pedro Creek exceeded state safety standards for fecal indicator bacteria
  • DNA testing has identified human fecal contamination.  Leaking sewer infrastructure is the suspected source.
  • Ocean water north of Taco Bell is mostly safe except during heavy rains or rare pumping station discharges

We need your help to understand how these water quality issues affect people. This survey will take less than 3 minutes. Your responses will help:
  • Document health impacts on swimmers, surfers, and beachgoers
  • Inform public agencies and elected officials
  • Advocate for infrastructure improvements

Every response strengthens the evidence needed to protect public health and improve water quality at Linda Mar Beach and San Pedro Creek.  Thanks for being part of the solution!

You can skip any question. We will never sell your information or use it for commercial purposes.  Survey results will be shared only in aggregate, anonymized form.
