Thank you for your interest in Investigating History! At this time, the most up-to-date versions of Grades 3-7 curriculum materials are published on the DESE website. The preview site that formerly housed pilot and legacy curriculum materials will be deactivated as of August 31, 2026.
To access "legacy" editions of Grades 5-7 materials (published in 2024 and since revised), please fill out the form below. You will receive links to the materials via email. Please note that, due to a technical error, some Grades 6 and 7 units are only available as PDFs and may not have live links. Given that Grades 3 and 4 materials are now available in revised and published form, pilot materials for those grade levels are no longer publicly accessible.
Legacy materials are available for teacher reference and to supplement current editions. However, DESE strongly recommends that teachers utilize the current versions of the materials, which have been revised with a focus on vertical alignment and student supports.
