2026 Community Spirit Award
Nomination Form for Volunteer Recognition
The Community Spirit Award is given to one volunteer annually who exemplifies the commitment to community service and "can-do" spirit of Giants Community Fund Board Member Emerita Isabelle Lemon.
Isabelle, who passed away in spring 2026, was a powerhouse in the Bay Area for decades, leading promotions and marketing for KNBR while always keeping the community at the center of her efforts. In that spirit, the Fund wishes to encourage and reward individuals who step up to create positive change in the communities in which they live and work.
The award recipient will be honored and presented with a $2,500 grant for the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to which they are committed as a volunteer.
We especially encourage community non-profits to recognize those who have stepped up beyond their usual volunteer role to assist with overcoming challenges (racial justice, gun violence, mental health, etc.).
Grant eligibility:
- Is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in good standing
- Is based in Northern California, Western Nevada or Southern Oregon
- Demonstrates non-discriminatory practices
