Robotic Surgery Multidisciplinary Panel Application

The AAGL Practice Guidelines Committee is seeking expert panelists to help develop a new Consensus Guideline on Training and Credentialing in Robotic Gynecologic Surgery.

Why This Work Matters
Robotic-assisted surgery is now central to gynecologic practice—yet training and privileging pathways remain inconsistent, ranging from structured curricula to informal apprenticeship models. With the last AAGL guidance published in 2014, an updated, evidence-informed, competency-based framework is overdue. Your expertise can help define what safe adoption and ongoing proficiency should look like, and advance patient safety.

Consider Joining If You Are One or More of the Following:

  • An experienced robotic surgeon (5+ years), academic or community
  • An educator or leader in residency/fellowship training
  • Active in academic medicine
  • A member of a hospital privileging or credentialing committee
  • A stakeholder in quality, safety, simulation, or OR leadership
We are building a multidisciplinary panel: General Ob/Gyn • MIGS • Urogynecology • Gyn Oncology • Health System Stakeholders.
Time Commitment
  • 📞 At least three one-hour conference calls
  • 📚 Independent time for a focused literature review
