402358 Ss Simon & Jude Church 2026 Feasibility Study

Saints Simon & Jude Church is asking that each household take 5 to 10 minutes to complete this survey to help shape the future of our parish.  Thank you in advance for your time and consideration!
 
1. How long have you been a member of the parish?

4. Please indicate your feelings regarding the importance of the following projects at your parish.
A) East Bell Tower (present water damage): 75% of the organ pipes (which live under the east tower)
are nonoperational due to continual water leaking. Snow fencing has also been installed as a safety
precaution in the event that loose stones fall. Repoint all mortar joints; Reset loose limestone units;
Replace 6 deteriorated limestone units; Frame and sheath new plywood deck within active water
leaking bell tower.
B)  West Bell Tower: 25% of the organ pipes (which live under the west tower) still continue to operate for Mass. Repoint all mortar joints; Reset and anchor loose limestone units; Replace deteriorated limestone units; Frame and sheath new plywood deck within bell tower.
C) South Elevation Front: Scaffolding has been installed in front of the church as a safety precaution in
the event that loose stones fall. Replace all mortar joints of limestone including window tracery; Cut out
sealants on all windows and replace with new sealants; Repoint all the missing and deteriorated mortar
joints; Inspect lintels and repair / replace where necessary
D) North Elevation: Replace all mortar joints of limestone including window tracery; Cut out sealants on
all stained glass windows and replace with new sealants; Repoint all the missing and deteriorated
mortar joints; Inspect lintels and repair / replace where necessary.
E) East Elevation (Parking Lot Side): Replace all mortar joints of limestone including window tracery;
Inspect lintels and repair / replace where necessary; Cut out sealants on all stained glass windows and
replace with new sealants; Replace cracked window panes on the storm windows as needed.
F) West Elevation: Replace all mortar joints of limestone including window tracery; Inspect lintels and
repair / replace where necessary; Cut out sealants on all stained glass windows and replace with new
sealants; Replace cracked window panes on the storm windows as needed; Repoint / Repair the void
between the coper box gutter and the fi eld stone.
5. To complete the projects, we will need to raise $1,824,500. Are you in favor of a capital campaign to
