Citywire South Africa Top 50Citywire South Africa is pleased to announce that entries are officially open for the 2026 edition of our Top 50 Adviser list, recognising the most exceptional independent financial advisers (IFAs) in the country.
Back for its third year, the Top 50 aims to spotlight leading IFAs who are shaping the future of financial advice. We know that no list can capture everything, but this year’s feature will provide more insights than ever before into the advisers and practices that drive professional progress and client outcomes across South Africa.
As part of the 2026 Adviser Awards, the Citywire Financial Adviser of the Year will also be awarded to the adviser who achieves the highest total score across all categories in the final Top 50.
Our methodology draws inspiration from our UK sister title, New Model Adviser, and its respected Top 100 survey. We award points across key areas, including the strength of investment propositions, the use of technology, client segmentation and engagement, as well as succession and transformation strategies. The heart of the survey remains simple: to better understand how advisers are building sustainable businesses, mentoring future professionals, and closing the advice gap at a time when succession challenges are mounting and intergenerational wealth planning is in sharper focus than ever.
Please note that to ensure a diverse representation of the industry, entry is strictly limited to a maximum of three advisers per financial services provider (FSP). Only those who submit a completed online entry form will be eligible for the Top 50 Adviser list. Please submit your entry by 21 August 2026 to be considered for this year’s list. The final Citywire South Africa Top 50 will be unveiled later this year.
All submitted data may also be anonymised and aggregated to shape editorial features and reports across Citywire South Africa and affiliated titles.
