About the Project:
The Town of Ludlow is working with Planning, Design and Engineering Consultants – SE Group and Stantec Engineering – to develop a plan for the Village of Ludlow that supports a vibrant, connected and resilient downtown. The document will result in a plan document created for and by the community that helps the Town:
- Update Land Use regulations including the Town Comprehensive Plan, Village Zoning Regulations and Map, and other Zoning and Land Use Regulations
- Inform future Capital Improvement Planning, Grant-writing, and
- Recommend Town programs and activities that support the goals
About this Survey:
The purpose of this online survey is to collect your feedback on goals for the future of Ludlow Village, and to better understand the collective community vision. We also hope to gather information on challenges and issues, and understand strengths of the community to build on and enhance.
Project Timeline:
- Background Research – May-July 2026: The project team will conduct background research on relevant topics to the plan such as transportation, connectivity, flooding, housing, land use and development, recreation, and economic development.
- Understanding the Vision – June-July 2026: During this phase of the project, the team will hold an open house at the Ludlow Farmers Market, launch an online survey, and host stakeholder meetings around the topics of Land Use and Transportation, Housing, and Economic Development.
- Vision The Future – August-October 2026: During this phase the project team will turn vision into a realized strategy to develop a Vision and Opportunities Plan. This phase will also involve a second public engagement event.
- Setting up Next Steps – November-December 2026: The project team will finalize a draft plan document based on input. Then, the project will break down the vision into actionable steps, outlining potential project costs, making recommendations for changes, and identifying funding sources and strategies to move forward. The project Storymap Website will be updated with the Village Master Plan document.
