NCHC Vintage Merch Design Contest - Faculty Judge Interest Form

Contest Information

Serve on the Vintage ’66 Review Panel

NCHC is seeking faculty members, honors program directors, and higher education professionals with a background in visual arts, design, marketing, or related fields to serve as contest judges. This is a meaningful opportunity to mentor student designers and help shape a lasting piece of NCHC’s anniversary story.

We invite:

Full-time or adjunct faculty in graphic design, visual communication, studio art, marketing, or communications at any NCHC member institution
Honors program administrators with demonstrated experience in visual branding or publications
NCHC members with professional design industry experience (in addition to academic roles)

Faculty at non-member institutions may apply as associate judges pending approval by the committee.

Judge Responsibilities

Review all eligible submissions assigned to your panel (estimated 15–25 entries per judge)
Evaluate entries using the official NCHC scoring rubric (provided upon selection)
Attend one virtual orientation session (60 minutes) prior to the review period
Complete all scoring within the designated review window
Participate in a final virtual deliberation session to determine winners
Maintain confidentiality of submissions and panel discussions throughout the process
