The McGaw Global Health Clinical Scholars Program offers Northwestern University’s McGaw graduate medical trainees (residents and fellows from partner programs) a two year scholars program. Curricular requirements include attending ten of thirteen core lectures, completion of five specialty-specific global health activities, participation in simulation training, leading and participating in peer-led global health journal clubs, and presentation and completion of a scholarly project. Completion of a global health elective (and pre-departure training modules) is optional, but encouraged. Residents will be mentored by a previously identified Global Health mentor within their specialty.
You are being asked to complete this form as one of your trainees has indicated an interest in applying to our program. With any questions about the program or this form, please email Assistant Program Director Liz Groothuis (egroothuis@luriechildrens.org).
