2026-27 Open for Antiracism (OFAR) Team Application

Dear Team Leader,

We are grateful for your interest in the Open for Antiracism (OFAR) Program. Below are instructions and suggestions for preparing your team application. Please read the full description of the OFAR team leader role.

Before beginning the application, gather the following information for each team member from your institution (4-5 faculty per team) who wishes to join the OFAR cohort for the 2026-27 academic year. We recommend using the OFAR Application Template if you encounter any technical issues with the survey.

You must also attach a statement of support from your department chair or dean for participation in the OFAR program (You can use the OFAR Letter of Support template).

When completing the application, you’ll be asked for the following information:

Each team member’s name, email address, and proposed course name/number to transform in spring 2026
Each member's racial, ethnic, gender, and other forms of diversity
Overall level of teaching experience
Overall familiarity with open educational resources
Overall familiarity with culturally responsive and antiracist teaching practices
Proposed changes to teaching practices and instructional materials to support antiracism
Anticipated impact on students from faculty participation
Ways you could include students and their perspectives
Anticipated institutional or departmental benefits from team participation
Any other institutional supports that the team may expect during their participation
