Our host city partners have lined up five sightseeing tours that are sure to get TREX attendees in the Tulsa spirit—and show you why this city is one of North America’s most popular packaged travel destinations.

Boxed lunches will be provided at the convention center following the tours.

Greenwood
Enjoy meaningful exploration of Tulsa’s historic Greenwood District. The tour will start with a guided walking tour through some of the most significant cultural landmarks in the city. Attendees will learn about Greenwood’s rich history, resilience, and lasting impact. The experience concludes with a visit to Greenwood Rising Museum, where immersive exhibits bring the story of the district to life. Together, the tour provides a powerful and educational look at an essential part of Tulsa’s heritage.

Route 66
Get your kicks on Route 66! Experience highlights of Tulsa’s legacy along the iconic Mother Road, beginning at the Route 66 Historic Village, where the region’s transportation history comes to life. Attendees will then travel along the city’s newly installed, and Oklahoma’s first musical road! The chorus of Woody Guthrie’s “This Land is Your Land” provides unique tribute to the highway’s cultural impact. Nex up the Cyrus Avery Centennial Plaza and the iconic “East Meets West” sculpture, the convergence of history and modernization, as the Mother Road represented. The journey continues through key corridors along Historic Route 66. The Meadow Gold District, home to one of the road’s most recognizable vintage neon signs, iconic giants and unique memorabilia and vintage stores. Continuing west, The Tulsa Market District, is a revitalized stretch featuring classic roadside architecture and local businesses rooted in Route 66 heritage. Together, this tour offers a dynamic look at the past and present of Tulsa’s place on the Mother Road.
The Outsiders
The Outsiders experience offers a behind-the-scenes look at one of Tulsa’s most iconic books, films, and now Tony award-winning Broadway musicals. The morning will start with a guided tour of some of the most memorable scenes from the movie. The tour culminates at The Outsiders House Museum for a private, in-depth exploration of the Curtis brothers’ restored home. Attendees will enjoy a rare Q&A session with Danny Boy O’Connor, founder of The Outsiders House Museum, who will share his story behind preserving this Tulsa cinematic and cultural landmark. This immersive experience offers a deep connection to legacy of The Outsiders in Tulsa.
The Walkabout
The Walkabout is a curated Tulsa sightseeing experience that highlights the city’s natural beauty and architectural charm. The tour begins with a guided visit to The Gathering Place, offering guests a look at one of the nation’s premier riverfront parks. From there, attendees will travel downtown by bus for an engaging Art Deco tour, showcasing Tulsa’s rich history and iconic design. Together, this experience provides a well-rounded introduction to the city’s unique character and culture.

Experience and celebrate Tulsa’s rich musical heritage, beginning with a guided experience through The Church Studio, a legendary recording space with deep roots in American music history. Attendees will then continue to the acclaimed Bob Dylan Center and Woody Guthrie Center, where immersive exhibits highlight the lives and legacies of these iconic artists. Together, these experiences offer a unique look at the creative spirit that has shaped Tulsa’s music scene.
