FAM #1 Route 66
Nov. 12-14
Yes, we have the most drivable miles on Route 66, but we like to think Oklahoma also has the most ‘smileable’ miles on the Mother Road!
Adventure kicks off in the past with a pair of stops to learn about the American West and Oklahoma’s Mother Road history before jetting off to Route 66 Space City. In Weatherford, take in a museum dedicated to hometown hero, three-star general, and astronaut, Thomas Stafford and view the 30-foot-tall Space City Weatherford Route 66 Centennial Monument, right on the square. After catching the perfect roadside selfie, head up the road to El Reno for an old-fashioned trolley ride and savor a classic Oklahoma onion burger before signing the guest book and dropping a pin at the fully restored filling station.
Clear your film roll, there’s more selfie stops ahead, including a Blue Hippo, round barn, chicken shack, neon decked bowling alley, and filling station with 700+ sodas. Explore another side of Mother Road history with a visit to Threatt Filling Station in Luther, an essential stop for African American travelers during the Jim Crow era.
Now, hit the road and enjoy the roadside attraction that inspired the character, Sally, in Pixar's Car's movie in Stroud before hitting up the “coolest bathrooms” on Route 66 and taking in the downtown charm of Sapulpa. Don’t forget to tag us in all your pics from this Route 66 Fam!
Arrive at Will Rogers International Airport (OKC) before 3 p.m. on Nov. 12. Departure airport will be Tulsa International Airport (TUL) following Travel Exchange.
Note: This fam is limited to ten spots.

FAM #2 Cowboys, Native Americans, and Oil Barons
Nov. 12-14
Think you know Oklahoma? Explore and experience the American West on our Cowboys, Native Americans and Oil Barons Fam Tour.
Your journey kicks off in the appropriately named Adventure District at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, exploring and interacting with the deep and often surprising history and culture of the American West. Your next stop is an incredible living memorial to one of the darkest days in Oklahoma history. Here you will learn more about the tragic events of April 19, 1995, and the birth of what we call the “Oklahoma Standard.”
Stringed instruments have an intrinsic place in western history, and there’s no better place to explore this than the American Banjo Museum. Dine where presidents and cattle barons alike have feasted on world-class steaks before taking an unflinching look at the history of 39 First American Nations. From a lavish mansion to a masonic temple, take in the architectural impact of Oklahoma’s oil barons.
Native American sculpture and Osage Nation history are your next stops before heading to check out a Food Network star’s emporium and a museum paying tribute to a star of the silver screen. Your final stops showcase an oil baron’s nature preservation efforts on his personal working ranch, museum, and wildlife preserve along with the only skyscraper ever realized by Frank Lloyd Wright! Now, are you ready to see what Oklahoma is all about?
Arrive at the Will Rogers International Airport (OKC) before 3 p.m. on Nov. 12. Departure airport will be Tulsa International Airport (TUL) following Travel Exchange.
Note: This fam is limited to ten spots.
