2027 Board Nominations Are Now Being Accepted

FAAGL is now accepting nominations for qualified individuals to serve on the Foundation Board of Directors. Together, the FAAGL Board of Directors advances and supports AAGL initiatives in research, global outreach, recognition of scientific achievement, and mentorship opportunities. By contributing your time, energy, and creativity, you can help strengthen FAAGL's impact and support the advancement of women's health worldwide.
When selecting nominees, consideration is given to how their experience, knowledge, and ability to cultivate donor relationships and philanthropic support will add value and cohesiveness to the FAAGL Board of Directors.
FAAGL is currently accepting nominations for the positions listed below. To be considered for a role or to nominate a qualified individual, please complete the application by Monday, August 31, 2026, PT.
Nominees must be active AAGL members in good standing.
Secretary-Treasurer – One Position Open
Length of Term: The Secretary-Treasurer will serve a total of four (4) years: first, as Secretary-Treasurer; second, as Vice President; third, as President; and fourth, as Immediate Past President. The term of office will commence on January 1st of the subsequent year.
Eligibility: The Secretary-Treasurer nominee must have previously served as a Director on the AAGL Board of Directors or as a Director of the FAAGL Board of Directors.
Description of Position: The Secretary-Treasurer shall attend all FAAGL Board meetings, participate as a voting member of the board, and keep, or cause to be kept, records of all meetings of the Executive Committee and the Foundation Board of Directors. The Secretary-Treasurer will oversee, or cause to be overseen, the financial affairs, including the collection of all revenues and disbursements of the FAAGL, according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The Secretary-Treasurer will perform all other duties usually associated with the offices of both Secretary and Treasurer of a non-profit corporation.
Director-At-Large
Length of Term: Director terms will be three (3) years. Individuals may serve for a maximum of two (2) consecutive terms as a Director. The term of office will commence on January 1, 2027, and end December 31, 2030.
Eligibility: Eligible nominees for Directors-at-Large are members of the AAGL who are not currently serving on another AAGL Board and have not had more than one prior term of service as Director-at-Large.
Description of Position: A Director-At-Large will attend all FAAGL Board Meetings and be a voting member of the board. As a member of the Foundation Board of Directors, a Director-At-Large will provide oversight of the business and affairs of the Foundation, guide the Foundation to fulfill its mission, participate in fundraising and the promotion of fundraising initiatives, and make such rules and regulations therefore consistent with applicable law, the Articles of Incorporation, and the Bylaws, as they may deem appropriate.
