Welcome to the Reading Like a Historian Program!
Please complete this brief survey before our first institute session on Monday, June 22.
The purpose of this survey is to help the Digital Inquiry Group understand how participants' thinking evolves over the course of the program. To capture our starting point, we hope to learn more about how you currently evaluate student reasoning and incorporate primary sources into your instruction. In the sections that follow, we will ask you to anticipate student responses to a primary source, score a few sample answers, and briefly outline a lesson idea. We will ask you to complete a similar survey in September.
We ask that you answer the questions honestly and give your best effort, but please don't stress over providing the "perfect" answer. This is not an evaluation of your individual skills, but a way for us to measure the program's impact on the group. Please don't consult any outside materials while completing this survey. Just draw on your everyday teaching experience and share your current thinking.
Please make sure your answers are final for each section before you submit. You will not be able to go back to previous answers after you advance to the next section.
