Astellas Pharma US. Inc. created a nationwide network so that women impacted by moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms (VMS; also known as hot flashes and night sweats) due to menopause and who are taking VEOZAH™ (fezolinetant) can share their stories and provide important feedback to Astellas about how to better support women with VMS due to menopause. VMS are the feelings of warmth in the face, neck and chest, or sudden intense feelings of heat and sweating. See Important Safety Information, including BOXED WARNING below.
All information provided by you through this survey will be used to determine eligibility for the Voice My Story Network and will be maintained by the program to the extent necessary to support the purposes of the program. Information provided by you will be shared with others in the administration of the Voice My Story Network and associated projects once eligibility is determined. Those in the network may be able to:
• Provide feedback on what it is like to live with hot flashes/night sweats due to menopause
• Provide feedback on their experiences taking VEOZAH™ (fezolinetant) to treat their moderate to severe VMS due to menopause
• Provide feedback on Astellas materials or concepts related to VMS
• Be featured in VEOZAH™ and/or VMS educational or promotional materials
• Speak at in-person or virtual meetings or events to others impacted by VMS, health care professionals or Astellas employees
• Participate in media interviews with news outlets about your VEOZAH™ and/or VMS experience – such as health-focused publications
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
What is the most important information I should know about VEOZAH?
VEOZAH can cause serious side effects, including:
• Liver Problems. Your healthcare provider will do a blood test to check your liver before you start taking VEOZAH. Your healthcare provider will also do this blood test monthly for the first 3 months, at month 6, and month 9 after you start taking VEOZAH or if you have signs or symptoms that suggest liver problems. If your liver blood test values are elevated, your healthcare provider may advise you to stop treatment or request additional liver blood tests.
Stop VEOZAH right away and call your healthcare provider if you have the following signs or symptoms of liver problems:
• feeling more tired than you do usually
• yellowing of the eyes or skin (jaundice)
• decreased appetite
• pale feces
• nausea
• dark urine
• vomiting
• pain in the stomach (abdomen)
• itching
