A FSIS Small Plant Session will be held at West Texas A&M University following the AMSA Reciprocal Meat Conference. This free program gives small and very small processors direct access to FSIS, USDA Rural Development, the Small Business Administration, and faculty from WTAMU and Texas Tech Meat Science.
The session features:
• Hands‑on demonstrations and short discussions led by West Texas A&M and Texas Tech University faculty and staff
• Presentations from FSIS, AMS, RD, and SBA covering the regulatory journey from start‑up to full production
• Open Q&A with federal and academic experts
