3. Preparedness: I understand that this trip requires good aerobic conditioning, balance, and the skills and gear to trek an average of 7 miles / 2300’ gain per day over 10 days with individual days with up to 10 miles / 4300’ gain.

I understand that this is a hut-to-hut trip, without any provision for luggage transfer. Aside from leaving a bag at the airport hotel, which I'd arrange independently for travel before or after the trek, I will carry all of my changes of clothes, personal travel items, a sleep sheet, and the ten essentials for the entire trek.

I certify that I will be prepared with the experience, skills, confidence, conditioning, and gear to meet the requirements of the trip. *This question is required.

4. Terrain: This adventure is Moderate on average, with tree Strenuous and one Very Strenuous day, and is on trail throughout. However, some of the terrain is rugged, steep, and rocky, with moderate exposure. Participants must have experience and confidence backpacking on rugged terrain comprising of boulder fields and angled rock slabs. No scrambling skills are required

5. Accommodations: I understand that the lodgings on this trip include simple hotels (double occupancy) and mountain huts (rifugio) with dormitory-style sleeping rooms, either with rows of mattresses or bunks, all mixed-gender. *This question is required.

6. Food: I understand that the variety of food available and the ability to meet special dietary preferences may be limited, particularly in the mountain huts. *This question is required.

7. Travel Documents: I understand that I will be required to hold up-to-date travel documents, international medical insurance, and emergency evacuation insurance for the trip, at my own expense. The evacuation insurance should be sufficient to get me back to the hospital of my choice in the United States. *This question is required.

8. Teamwork: I understand that this is a group trip and that participants will look out for and support each other during the trek. Pace, daily start-end times, route and side trips will be driven by the needs of the group and conditions in the field. *This question is required.

9. Leadership: I understand that safety and well-being of participants comes first and the itinerary and route may change without prior notice based on conditions. While participant input will be valued, the Mountaineers trip leader will be the ultimate decision maker. *This question is required.

10. Responsibility: I understand that the Mountaineers trip leaders are not guides and that I am responsible for knowing the route and where I am along the way at all times. *This question is required.

Fitness and Medical Conditions: I commit to providing a doctor’s certification of medical fitness if requested, and to disclose to the leader in advance of the trip about any recent injuries, surgeries, allergies, medications or medical conditions that could impact me on the trip. *This question is required.

Behavior: I commit to behave during the trip in a careful and safe manner, to communicate to the leader promptly about any illness or injury, and to put my health and safety and that of my fellow group members first even if this means having to turn around or exit the trip early. *This question is required.

Cancellation Policy: I understand that if I cancel from this adventure, I will not be eligible for any refund except in the case that a qualified replacement is found, in which case I will be refunded my payment up to that date less a $100 admin fee.
