ABOUT THIS COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE
Need a break from the burdens of being an educational leader for a few hours?
Join Shared Magic, a collaborative Dungeons & Dragons-inspired tabletop roleplaying experience centered on creativity, wellness, and cultivating resilience through playful, collective imagination. Together, players will explore a fantasy world filled with magical mysteries, impossible choices, ancient academies, and wildly unrealistic concepts like feeling rested after eight hours of sleep or having the power to enact systemic change.
The campaign is designed to be flexible and approachable for all levels of experience and engagement: beginners, seasoned adventurers, and those interested in experiencing the offering without playing are all welcome.
This experience includes:
- 8 sessions
- 1.5 hours per session
Each session includes:
- time for onboarding new players
- tech assistance as needed
- story recaps/reviews
- collaborative storytelling
- immersive gameplay
- networking & team-building conversations
Even if you miss a session, or haven't attended any of the prior sessions, you are always welcome to drop in or out whenever it works for you! Each session is designed to be enjoyed as a stand-alone experience or as a chapter in the story we will write together.
Shared Magic is a chance to be swept away from burnout, and reconnect with play, storytelling, and community.
Join us - because imagination, make-believe, and shared worlds have always been part of how people rest, resist, and build something better together.
