The District Leadership Institute for Systemic Change (DLI) is NCCEP’s premier leadership development program focused on fostering systemic change in GEAR UP schools and districts to maximize GEAR UP’s impact on school change and student outcomes. Designed in partnership with
Inflexion, district- and state-level leaders and college access professionals will:
- Learn in a trusted community of practice focused on fostering a systemic approach for school change to improve student outcomes.
- Ground participants in the Inflexion approach for strengthening school identity, coherent systems, effective learning and support practices, and a shared vision of readiness for all.
- Utilize the Four Keys for College and Career Readiness to improve expectations for all students, school culture, and programming.
- Assess, collaborate, and enhance strategies for systemic change and strengthening the school/district partnership with GEAR UP in support of continuous, sustainable, and measurable improvement.
District leaders receive four full days of in-person professional training, optional coaching calls, and virtual touch points throughout the six-month program. Using a collaborative approach, each training day explores case studies, current research, and practical applications of strategic leadership.
