Louth Local Community Development Committee are now seeking expressions of interest (EOI) for the following targeted call:
Theme: Sustainable Development of the Rural Environment & Climate Change Mitigation & Adaption
Local Objective: Support for the Sustainable Development of the Rural Environment
Strategic Action: Supports for Development of Small-Scale Renewable Energy Initiatives
Funding Type: Small Scale Capital
Total Budget Available: €100,000
LEADER funding can be provided for the following
Small-Scale Renewable Energy Initiatives subject to a maximum funding limit of
€15,000 per successful proposal;
- Rooftop solar PV on community buildings (community centres, sports clubs, heritage buildings, social enterprises)
- Retrofitting community facilities to reduce energy use
- Heat pumps for community-owned buildings
- Smart controls and energy monitoring systems
- Battery storage paired with local generation
Maximum Grant Aid Available:
- Community Groups up to a maximum of €15,000 or 75%, whichever is the lesser
- Enterprises up to a maximum of €15,000 or 50%. whichever is the lesser
- The minimum grant aid available is €5,000

Closing Date: 22nd June 2026 at 12 Noon
Funding will be allocated on a competitive basis and all projects must be in line with the 2023-2027 LEADER Programme and the Louth Local Development Strategy.
