The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), in partnership with the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA), is pleased to offer a limited number of scholarships for university students to participate in the Global Model FAO conference in Rome, Italy to be held 24-27 November 2026.
The scholarship programme aims to increase accessibility and support participation from students representing diverse geographic, academic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, particularly from countries classified by the World Bank as low-income and lower-middle-income economies (see https://ddh-openapi.worldbank.org/resources/DR0095333/download).
Scholarship support will exclusively cover:
• Conference participation fees
• Accommodation
• Travel
• A fixed daily allowance
Scholarships are limited and highly competitive. Submission of an application does not guarantee funding.
You are responsible for paying any costs not covered in the scholarship package.
Deadline
Scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis so you are encouraged to complete and return this application as soon as possible. The call for scholarship applications will close on 15 September 2026 or earlier if all scholarships are awarded before that date.
