What is an ADU?
ADUs, or accessory dwelling units, are a dwelling unit within, attached to, or detached from a single-family structure as an independent unit with space for living, sleeping, cooking, and sanitation. Accessory dwellings must meet the standards found in 18A.37.120.
What does “Pre-Approved” mean?
Pre-approved ADU means an ADU design that has already been reviewed by our permit staff and does not need to go through design review for an application. This does not include site review needs such as septic/sewer capacity, setbacks, or critical areas.
