The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine is seeking nominations for experts to serve on a planning committee for a workshop focused on improving diagnostics used to assess cognitive change. The workshop will examine the state of the science in cognitive change measurement, including standards for identifying normal and pathological trajectories, advances in statistical modeling, best practices for assessment intervals, the use of population change norms, and feasible approaches to increasing measurement density. The planning committee will develop the workshop agenda and objectives, commission a paper on best practices for cognitive assessments, and identify appropriate participants.
Using these nominations, the National Academies staff will build a committee of approximately 6-8 volunteer experts in addition to collecting information for potential speakers, participants, and peer reviewers for any publications resulting from the workshop.
