UNSC Election Briefing: Uncontested Candidates for the United Nations Security Council

This Election Briefing features the Ambassadors of the Uncontested Candidates, Trinidad and Tobago, and Zimbabwe, for the 2027-2028 UNSC term. This dialogue will take place on May 19, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM EST at UNHQ in Conference Room 11. 

 

Please note that if you have registered to attend the event in person, you must have a UN grounds badge. WFUNA will not be responsible for the organization of attendees' grounds badges. Therefore, please take the necessary steps to attend in person if you wish. 

  

If you are not able to join in person, you can watch a livestream of the event and find a recording of the webcast later on UN Web TV.

  

If you would like to be considered to ask a question during the dialogue, please submit your question in advance through the registration form. Please send only one question per submission. Please note that all questions should focus on the work of the UN Security Council. 

  

Attendance is open to all member States and civil society ECOSOC-accredited representatives. Feel free to forward to interested colleagues.
