AHEAD Conference Volunteers & Moderators 2026

Thank you for your interest in serving as a Session Moderator and/or other Volunteer for the AHEAD 2026 Conference. The presenters and AHEAD staff appreciate those who help out in this way; it helps to make the conference run smoothly.

5. Are you interested in serving as a conference volunteer, session moderator, or both?

Session moderators are generally responsible for giving presenters an AHEAD mug thank-you gift, welcoming people to the session by number and title, moving the microphone around the room for Q&A, and signing CEU forms. (Once we know which sessions you are available to moderate, we will send you additional information about your assignments, location of session(s), etc.)
Other volunteer responsibilities vary, including greeting attendees at the registration tables, acting as 'traffic control' to guide guests in the right directions, and more. Please note that volunteer roles will generally be assigned in 2-hour shifts.
