Safe Routes, Healthy Neighborhoods

Oshkosh Healthy Neighborhoods (GO-HNI) is conducting this survey to better understand concerns, barriers, and opportunities related to students walking and biking to/from school. Through funding provided by the State of Wisconsin CDC State Physical Activity and Nutrition (SPAN) cooperative agreement, GO-HNI has been awarded a Community Design for Physical Activity Grant to support neighborhood-based efforts focused on improving safe, active, and equitable transportation access for students, families, and residents. This project will help identify transportation and mobility challenges related to school travel, bus stop access, traffic safety, sidewalks, crossings, and biking conditions — particularly in neighborhoods impacted by school consolidation and changing travel patterns.

Feedback gathered through this survey will help guide collaboration between residents, neighborhood associations, schools, and municipal partners to support visible, community-driven improvements that make it safer and easier for students and families to walk and bike throughout our community.

This survey will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. Please reach out to Liz Last or Julie Kiefer at Oshkosh Healthy Neighborhoods with any questions - info@gohni.org or 920-230-2717
