Thank you for your participation in the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)! The CACFP has been a critical part of the nutrition safety net for more than 50 years by contributing to improved child and adult diet quality, health outcomes, and food security. Your participation informs your community that you care about good nutrition and support their health and well-being.
The CDSS CACFP Branch invites you to take the CACFP Language Needs Survey. This survey will help the CACFP Branch provide language access services to CACFP Operators offering care throughout California. These services include language interpretation and written translation in the desired language. They can be requested by and provided to CACFP Operators with Limited English Proficiency (LEP). LEP refers to individuals who speak, read, write, or understand English less than fluently. The feedback collected will be used to improve the support available to CACFP Operators.
The survey will be available on our CDSS CACFP webpages to current CACFP participants through November 14, 2026. This survey is optional and should take approximately 5→10 minutes to finish in a single session. All questions throughout this survey are required unless otherwise indicated. We welcome all CACFP Operators to provide their feedback through this anonymous survey.
