The AAPM&R Physiatrist in Training (PHiT) Council Board is calling for nominations for Officer (President, Vice President, and Secretary) candidates and committee/liaison appointments. We will hold only one call for nominations.
Completed applications, including personal statement and curriculum vitae, must be received by June 17, 2026 at 11:59pm CT.
Who can apply to be a PHiT Council Board member?
- Medical Students: Any interested AAPM&R medical student members may apply for the two (2) medical student positions. They must be enrolled in a medical student program through November 2027.
- Residents: Any interested AAPM&R resident members (PGY1-PGY4) may apply for officer or board appointments, with the exception of PHiT Council Board President.
- Only PHiT Council Board Members who previously served on the board and are in residency are eligible to run for PHiT Council Board President.
- Associate Fellow: Any interested AAPM&R associate fellow members (those in a fellowship program) may apply as any strategic coordinating committee liaison.
What is required?
- A one-year commitment is required for most positions.
- 3 in-person PHiT Board meetings. These would require time off for travel to and from Chicago, IL and the Annual Assemblies.
- 2026 Annual Assembly in Orlando, November 11-14
- 2027 PHiT Winter Meeting in Chicago (January/February 2027)
- 2027 Annual Assembly in Phoenix, November 10-13
- Quarterly virtual meetings or as needed for the PHiT Council Board
