2026 NAAE #TeachAg Ambassador Application

NAAE #TeachAg Ambassador Program Overview, Expectations and Application Process

Position Description:
NAAE is seeking the nation’s most outstanding agricultural education majors to represent the profession as NAAE National #TeachAg Ambassadors at the 2026 National FFA Convention & Expo, October 19-23, 2026 in Indianapolis, IN, and throughout the year.

Ambassadors will be responsible for the logistical operations of the NAAE #TeachAg booth during FFA Convention; including booth set up and teardown, staffing the interactive activities, general booth maintenance and other #TeachAg related activities that occur during the week of National FFA Convention. After National FFA Convention, ambassadors will be responsible for hosting #TeachAg workshops throughout their states to promote the mission and goals of NAAE. In addition, ambassadors will also be required to communicate via social media and html emails about the National #TeachAg Campaign and their term as ambassadors to individuals interested in pursuing a career in teaching agriculture.

Selection for ambassadorship is a competitive process, and being selected means we believe you are one of the nation’s best and brightest future agriculture teachers. Final selections may include a phone interview, Zoom interview, etc.

NAAE will coordinate travel, accommodations and meals on behalf of the selected ambassadors.

Ambassadors are required to be in Indianapolis by 5pm on Monday, October 19 for orientation and training. Ambassadors must also be available the rest of the week for booth set-up, booth coverage and must stay through booth teardown and loading on Friday, October 31. There may be additional engagement opportunities during the week as well. Selected ambassadors must attend a mandatory orientation on Sunday, August 23 at 6pm EDT. To be considered for the program you must be able to attend the orientation on August 23 and be available Oct. 19-23, 2026.

As part of the 2026 National FFA Convention and Expo requirements:
"Exhibitors shall ensure each of its representatives performing any aspect of the Agreement at the Expo has or will prior to performing any aspect of the Agreement at the event successfully complete and clear a comprehensive background check, in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and other applicable authority, and will ensure that each such representative is not listed on any sex offender registry."

Due to this new requirement, NAAE will be performing a comprehensive background check on all final selected applicants. If for some reason, a final applicant selected does not complete or clear a comprehensive background check, alternate candidates will be notified and required to complete the same process.
