2026 Summer K-12 Teacher Training

Introduction

Educators are on the front lines of preparing students for an increasingly complex financial world—and this summer, we’re bringing you the tools, insights, and inspiration to do just that.

Join us for HOT Topics in Financial Education, a two‑day, in‑person K–12 teacher training designed to help educators confidently teach today’s most relevant financial concepts. From banking and budgeting to social media influence, and entrepreneurship, this training focuses on the real‑world financial decisions students are facing right now.

We are excited to partner with Dyalekt—co-founder of Pockets Change and recipient of the 2023 Sony Create Action Recognition and the 2022 Jump$tart Coalition Award—as well as Andrea Caceres‑Santamaria of the St. Louis Federal Reserve Bank. Together, they will inspire educators through their innovative resources and powerful approach to pedagogy.

Participants will engage in:

  • Grade‑band specific breakout sessions for elementary and secondary educators
  • Practical, classroom‑ready strategies aligned with Washington’s financial education standards
  • Expert speakers and community partners sharing timely insights and resources
  • Opportunities to reflect, collaborate, and leave with clear next steps for the classroom

Whether you’re new to financial education or looking to deepen and refresh your instruction, this training will equip you with ideas you can use immediately—and support you throughout the school year.
