2026 Asian Pacific Islander Summit - Under One Sky: API Rising

SEIU-West is hosting our first Asian Pacific Islander Summit in Saskatoon on September 24-26, 2026 — an event to bring together workers from across Canada and the U.S.
Being an API member in Canada or the U.S. can sometimes feel isolating. You might not have seen yourself in leadership. you may not have always felt seen or understood. But you can find a home with us. We believe in you. We see you. And most importantly, you belong. Welcome home. 

Important: apply by July 15, 2026. Those accepted will be notified after the deadline. 
SEIU-West will cover the wages/honorarium, mileage, meals and hotels per our policies for up to 40 SEIU-West members to attend. Other locals will be sending delegates as well, so this is a chance to all get together!

8. The majority of the content and presentations at our event will be in English. Would simultaneous interpretation and written content in your first language help you better understand and more fully participate in the program?

19. We are looking for several volunteers to assist with: driving folks from Saskatoon Inn to the SEIU-West office, folks to hand out maps for folks that want to walk here, and folks to drive members to the airport.
