2026 AHEAD Annual Conference - Presenter Materials

To ensure your materials are posted on the AHEAD website before the conference, you must submit them by June 24th. Items submitted after that date will be posted as quickly as possible in the order received, but we cannot guarantee that your session’s attendees will receive them in time. 

AHEAD requires presenters to make their materials as accessible as possible before submitting them. This review is intended to be a final check only. For guidance on making your materials accessible, please review this resource: AHEAD: Creating Accessible Presentations.

Before submitting your materials:

  • Be sure to submit the correct and final version.
    With such a large number of sessions, we do not have time to review materials twice. If your materials are submitted a second time, they will go to the bottom of the queue and may not be posted before the conference.
  • Use MS PowerPoint and MS Word to create your materials.
    If you create them in other applications, convert them to MS PowerPoint and MS Word before submitting them.
  • Run the Accessibility Checker and confirm that you receive the message: “Looks good! No issues found.”
    If there are issues, follow the steps to correct them before submitting your materials. 
  • If you have the means to create fully accessible PDF documents, you may submit those, but please also submit the source documents so immediate fixes can be made, in case issues are found. 
  • Reach out to your campus accessibility resources if you need assistance. If you do not have expertise on your campus, feel free to contact Melanie Thornton at mthornt@uark.edu.
Uploading your materials:
  • Please choose a name that identifies your session easily. Avoid using a name like "AHEAD 2026 presentation". A better name would be, for example, "2.01.Beyond-the-Drill-Woods".
  • The form requires you to include your session number (2.01, 2.02, PC1, PC2, etc.) and the title. If you are unsure of those, please check the preconference sessions  or concurrent sessions.
  • For poster sessions, you will need to select whether your session is on Thursday or Friday.

After submission, your materials will be reviewed for accessibility. If you do not hear from us, you can assume your materials were accessible or required minimal changes. They will then be added to the posting queue for attendees. If your materials are significantly inaccessible, you may be contacted to make revisions.
