Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

The Graham neighborhood is home to people from many cultures and languages. Some families have lived here for generations, while others have moved here more recently. People come here to live, work, learn, worship, and spend time together.

About ten years ago, community members shared their vision for how the neighborhood should grow as the light rail came to Graham.

The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) is working with the community to plan transportation improvements near the future light rail station at MLK Jr Way S and S Graham St.

Focus of this survey

In summer 2025, we asked the community about transportation needs. Based on that feedback, we developed several early project ideas in the Graham Street Station Area and Rainier Valley. These projects aim to help people reach the future light rail station and improve connections across the neighborhood. Your feedback will help us understand what is working well, what may be missing, and where to focus future investments.

Please review the project ideals below and share your feedback.

The responses you give may need to be shared with other people under the law. To learn more, please see the Public Records Act (RCW Chapter 42.56). The City’s Privacy Statement explains how we handle the information you give us.

This map shows a one-mile radius from the proposed Graham Street Station, within that radius there a several transportation project ideas, including a Multimodal Corridor along Graham Street, Neighborhood Greenways along South Dawson Street, South Morgan Street, 32nd Ave S, and 42nd Avenue South. Bicycle and Pedestrian Crossings improvements are proposed along South Orcas Street. Transit and Pedestrian Crossing improvements are proposed along Rainier Avenue South. There are also numerous proposed pedestrian improvements throughout the area.
