2026 SNSMOPS Call for Workshops

2026 Southern Nevada Substance Misuse and Overdose Prevention Summit Call for Workshops
The Southern Nevada Opioid Advisory Council is hosting the 2026 Southern Nevada Substance Misuse and Overdose Prevention Summit on Thursday, August 13th, 2026 from 8AM – 5PM. This full day summit will focus on making connections and sharing the amazing work around substance use and overdose prevention taking place in Southern Nevada. Please find this invitation below for community stakeholders to submit workshop proposals surrounding our four pillars- prevention, rescue, treatment and recovery.
SNOAC Mission
Develop a systems-level response to the Southern Nevada substance use crisis through evidence-based strategies and unique community collaborations.

2026 Summit Theme
Hope is so much more than just a feeling. It is a goal, a motivator and a strategy. Research has discovered that hope is also a science- a measurable, teachable, and evidence-based driver of resilience and recovery. Hope strengthens pathways to prevention, supports lifesaving rescue efforts, sustains engagement in treatment, and empowers long-term recovery.

Join us at the 7th annual Southern Nevada Substance Misuse and Overdose Prevention Summit, The Science of Hope: Strategies to Reduce Substance Use and Build Resilience in Our Community, as we collaborate on how embedding the science of hope into policy, practice, and partnerships can have a positive impact on ourselves, the people we serve and our communities.

This project has been funded by grant number NH28CE003534 from the Centers for Disease Control. The contents are those of the author(s) and do not necessarily represent the official views of, nor an endorsement, by the CDC, or the U.S. Government.
