The
Foundational Child Abuse Investigator Training will take place on
August 24-25, 2026 at the
Montana Law Enforcement Academy in Helena. This training is open to all Montana law enforcement officers of any rank who are engaged in any phase of child abuse and neglect investigations (from patrol to review) including in the following capacities:
- Conduct
- Oversee
- Provide follow-up
- Perform initial reviews
- Investigate
Spots in this training are limited. Please complete and submit this application form by
June 15, 2026 to apply. Once you begin the application, you must complete it in one sitting (i.e., you can not begin it and then come back later to finish). All applications will be reviewed by a panel of law enforcement, prosecution, and child protection professionals. You will be notified if you have been accepted to the training by June 30, 2026.
