Welcome to the Quality Initiatives Survey.

The Child Care and Development Division (CCDD) of the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) is conducting this survey to gather feedback on our current Quality Initiatives, which are structed efforts to improve the experiences and outcomes of child care programs, educators, and children. They focus on program quality, workforce development, professional learning, family engagement, social-emotional development, equity, and system alignment. CCDD supports these initiatives through guidance, partnerships, and capacity building across local and statewide organizations.

Your input helps us understand workforce needs and professional development goals, assess how these initiatives are supporting child and family outcomes, and identify areas for improvement. The goals of this survey are to increase qualifications, strengthen competencies, support career pathways, and ensure equitable access to training. These goals are designed to strengthen the workforce while improving outcomes for children and families.
