The Minnesota School Behavioral Health Conference is in its 8th year, bringing together collaborating partners and providers to build a school behavioral health framework of community, practice, and support. Attendees include schools, community mental health providers, advocates, consumers, policy makers, Tribal Nations, parents/caregivers, county and state government. The conference provides opportunities to network and learn about the latest developments and best practices related to supporting students with behavioral health needs, their families, and the broader school community.
This conference seeks to offer attendees purposeful tools and techniques to implement and produce a positive impact on behavioral health and mental well-being. Conference organizers are particularly interested in sessions that address:
- What best practices or promising practices do you use to enhance student wellbeing?
- What can we do to put evidence-based practices into action?
- What resources can we utilize to empower all individuals to use data to determine the best outcomes for our youth?
- What does the research tell us are best practices for student success, including advancing equity and reducing disparities?
- What are evidence-based techniques for supporting both our youth and their parents/caregivers?
