2026 SurgeryU Editorial Board Member Application

SurgeryU delivers high-quality, high-definition surgical videos to members of the AAGL through live streaming events and an on-demand video library. Every presentation delivered through the SurgeryU platform has been peer reviewed to ensure the best content related to minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. SurgeryU is the only surgical video library in the world dedicated to minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.

SURGERYU EDITORIAL BOARD MEMBER QUALIFICATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
SurgeryU Editorial Board Members will be tasked with grading and publishing the most authoritative, innovative, and highest quality videos on the platform.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must be a current AAGL member.
  • Candidate must demonstrate international experience in the medical field and have been recognized for their contributions through published research, presentations, and appointments.
  • Candidate must be an MD or DO.
Editorial Board Member Responsibilities:
  • Exhibit a keen interest in video education and editing.
  • Attend Monthly (1-hour) Zoom Board Meetings.
  • If scheduled, attend an in-person Board meeting during the AAGL Global Congress in November.
  • Work in collaboration with the SurgeryU Editorial Board to generate new content.
  • Personally generate, or arrange for current AAGL members and/or colleagues to generate videos that will be submitted for consideration of publication, contingent upon peer review.
  • Actively serve on the grading committee for videos submitted to SurgeryU. ​​​​​​
Editorial Board Member Term:
This position is a one (1) year term, with possibility of an extension of an additional one-year term.

The AAGL SurgeryU Editorial Board Search Committee will review all applications and select the new SurgeryU Editorial Board Members by August 2026.
