AAFP Curriculum Guidelines are reviewed every five years. Please submit a separate application for each Curriculum Guideline your team is interested in updating. Application deadline is Monday, May 4, 2026

Procedures (NEW) Related to the ABFM Core Outcomes, this guideline will introduce the importance of procedural skills for the family physician, review competencies addressed through a procedural curriculum in residency training programs and outline a set of core skills underpinning all procedures performed. It will then have recommendations for skillsets that could reasonably be expected for all trainees by the completion of training as well as methods that could be used to implement a successful curriculum and resources that could support this implementation.
